Clark & Associates has a new name and a new president. Gary Lytle has joined the group, which has changed its name to Clark Lytle & Geduldig to reflect the firm’s headliners. Lytle, most recently senior vice president of federal relations at Qwest, says it’s a homecoming for him. He worked with Steve Clark when Clark started the lobby shop, and also when the two were at Ameritech (now AT&T). Sam Geduldig is a former Capitol Hill aide who has worked for House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., then-Rep. Michael Oxley, R-Ohio, and House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
Lytle, 64, has been in the telecommunications world for 40 years, beginning his career at Michigan Bell in 1967. The Detroit native held various government-relations positions with the company from 1980 until 1992, when he moved to Washington to head Ameritech’s federal-relations office. He was also an interim president and chief executive officer at the U.S. Telecom Association, and president of Lytle Consulting.
Clark Lytle & Geduldig’s clients include AT&T, Qwest, the Financial Services Roundtable, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. — K.L.
