Even though House Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio has been in the job just four months, a handful of his tops aides have already left the Hill. The latest is environmental and energy adviser Jay Cranford, who starts at Clark Lytle and Geduldig next week as a partner. The lobbying firm has strong Ohio ties. Former Ohio GOP Rep. Deborah Pryce is a partner, as is Sam Geduldig, who was a political director for Boehner when he was House minority leader.

Before joining Boehner’s team in 2006, Cranford, 41, was a staff director of the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. Cranford came to Washington in 1996 to work for then-Rep. Saxby Chambliss, a Georgia Republican now in the Senate, and he later worked for House Republicans Bob Barr of Georgia and Jim Gibbons of Nevada.
