Adam Geller is the CEO of the Republican polling firm, National Research Inc and brings nearly two decades of high-level polling expertise to Clark Lytle Geduldig & Cranford. Most recently, Geller served as the pollster for one of the most watched and analyzed races of the 2009 political season, the successful campaign of New Jersey Governor-elect Christopher J. Christie.
Geller launched National Research Inc in 2002, which specializes in polling, focus groups, dial groups, internet panels and intercept surveys. National Research has earned praise over the past several cycles for accuracy and, more importantly, their clients’ success, even in “bad” Republican years. Geller has polled for the Club for Growth, Senator John Barrasso (WY), Senator Norm Coleman (MN), the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), the Republican Governors Association (RGA), the California Republicans Taxpayers Association, Americans for Job Security, Congressmen Walter Jones (NC), Tim Walberg (MI), Leonard Lance (NJ), Sam Graves (MO), Governor Jim Douglas (VT), and Legislative caucuses throughout the country.
In 1997, Geller became Vice President of Jamestown Associates, a political media consulting firm, where he directed mail and media campaigns for dozens of successful Republican clients, including those of Representatives Nancy Johnson (CT), Jim Kolbe (AZ), Mike Ferguson (NJ), Jim Saxton (NJ), Connie Mack (FL).
From 1995 to 1997 Geller served as a Project Director for Public Opinion Strategies, where he managed and analyzed hundreds of surveys and focus groups throughout the United States, including Tom Campbell’s 1995 special congressional victory in California’s Central Valley, Jesse Helm’s 1996 re-election, and Bob Dole’s 1996 Presidential Primary campaign.
Geller began his career as a Project Director at Fabrizio, McLaughlin and Associates, where he worked for dozens of campaigns that helped secure large Republican congressional gains in the 1994 cycle.
Geller has the distinction of being the only Republican pollster and/or consultant to help unseat an entrenched Democrat legislative incumbent during the last three cycles in a row in New Jersey – including State Senator Jennifer Beck’s stunning defeat of Ellen Karcher.
Geller has also provided branding, positioning, and crisis research for various corporate clients, including Boyd Gaming, Wal-Mart, AAA Clubs, The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Liberty Natural Gas and IKON Office Solutions.
Geller periodically serves as a guest lecturer on politics and polling at his alma mater, Rutgers University. He has been quoted in newspapers nationally, and has appeared as a political commentator on NJN Public Television, CN-8, News 12 New Jersey, WABC TV, and WWOR/My-9. He has also been featured in National Journal’s Hotline, Campaigns and Elections Magazine, and the newspaper Politico.
Adam received his B.A. in political science from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 1988, and his M.A. in political science from the University of Delaware in 1993. He resides in Holmdel, New Jersey with his wife and children.
